Nuclear Radiation in Fukushima - Japan's Ministry of Science stated level of radiation due to damage Daiichi Nuclear Power in Fukusima detected about 30 miles northwest of the plant. As reported by NHK World page, so far the Japanese government has instructed the residents who live within a radius of 20 to 30 kilometers from the location of the Japanese nuclear power plant to stay indoors.
