Brazil?s Worst Floods

The death toll in floods and mudslides in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil rose to 541 people. Local media claimed the natural disasters that occurred last Wednesday, January 12 was the worst in the history of Brazil.

Search still underway for the rescue workers searching for survivors among the rubble of buildings. However, this effort was stopped when it rains again flushed, on Friday. The Telegraph reported, these rains caused a landslide fears of aftershocks. Rescuers still have to comb a number of villages in the mountains north of Rio de Janeiro are isolated due to damage to roads and bridges.
